Change Management & M&A

default-16x9

Hi

I am preparing a slide to be presented to our CEO, I just wanted to know about how change management is important in the context of acquiring  another company from a training stand point.

Essentially I am looking at - what is the training team's role in change & Culture management, what are the problems and how the training team should intervene.

Thanks for your help!

One Response

  1. start early

the merged organisation will be doing several of the following things:

    -laying people off

    -aligning people's work practices

    -aligning processes

-getting people on differing contracts of employment working side by side for the same organisation

-changing team structures and reporting lines

    -possibly closing offices

All these may have impacts on the organisation's productivity both short and long term and on the morale of the people the CEO is relying on to make the acquisition worthwhile.

The L&D functions should be proactive in

    -survivor training and outplacement

    -teambuilding

-process improvement and process induction and training

    -communication and leadership training

    I hope that helps
