City & Guilds any problems?

default-16x9

My company is accredited with C+G but I am now experiencing a very poor quality service from them with very little support. Who else is C+G accredited and have you had any issues with C+G?
I am now hearing bad stories that C+G are not as good as we are lead to believe.
Apart from the QCA who can I approach with a complaint about C+G?

  1. Response from City and Guilds
    City and Guilds have asked me to post the following response. Please note these are the words of City and Guilds and in no way represent the view of TrainingZONE or myself as editor:

    “On behalf of City & Guilds, I would like to confirm that we are in discussions with Tony Chambers from Helivation UK over procedural issues. Whilst the centre has undergone the first of a two stage process and obtained centre approval, the second stage requires the centre to gain further approval from us to run specific schemes. This is to protect learners and ensure that the centre has the right facilities, resources and teachers to run each course to the standard required.

    We are actively engaging with Mr Chambers and are awaiting his response to our offer. In addition, Mr Chambers has access to our appeals process.”

    Thank you for your response Claire. However I find it very unprofessional for C+G to publicly post such a response to a general comment that I had made. This is not the place to discuss any particular issues. I must stress that your statement is also incorrect.
    How can an awarding body such as C+G see it has being correct procedure to openly discuss private business on a public forum?

    Hi Tony
    I take your point. To explain – a C&G representative, independently, saw your question and asked for their response to be posted.I must stress that the statement is absolutely from City and Guilds and in no way represents the views of TrainingZONE or me as editor of this site.
    Kind regards

    Clair i understand your comment. However this is an open public forum and not a platform for professional bodies to post official responses to an ongoing issue. The matter has been worsened because you are not related to C+G and therefor have no real insight as to the situation and accepting and posting a response looks very one sided. I have had no dealings with the person who requested you to post the response and are C+G so bothered what is being said about their quality management that they result to communicating private business via third parties on a public forum to ridicule training centers. If this be the case then i am more than happy to take 1 of 2 courses of action.
    1 to post the full story and get full opinion or;
    2 Contact the QCA and demand an investigation in to C+G tactics.
