Colour in a classroom

default-16x9

We have just created a large training room for delivery of a wide range of courses. The room has no natural light and is currently "Office Beige".
How could we decorate the room to create a better creative and learning environment for the students?

There are various theories on the psychology of colour. As your room has no natural light and will be used for various types of training I would suggest sunshine yellow accented by a warm red. For more info on the use of colours try:
    http://www.weprintcolor.com/colourmoodtest.htm or
http://www.para.com/en/main.html (go to colour then select psychology).
You might also want to think about plants, posters, furnishings and lighting etc. – in which case try the Accelerated Learning Handbook by Dave Meier.
    Hope this helps.
