Commercial Representatives

default-16x9

I am fairly new to independent training, based in Kent.
I was wondering if there are any companies or individuals who I could go to who could represent or market me to companies?
Has anyone else used a company to market themselevs and how successful have they been?

Thanks
Rob

The only way to market what you are doing is to indulge in business networking. By doing so you will meet contacts from large and small companies that will use your services. I have a list of tips on my website http://www.sjbealehrconsult.co.uk as I run my own networking events in the Midlands. If you would like more information you can email me on info@sjbealehrconsult.co.uk.

You could start with your local chamber of commerce and business link. Other UK-wide (with local branches)networking groups are Federation of Small Businesses and Business Referral Exchange. There are probably some local smaller networking groups as well – do a search on Google.

    Good luck!

Firstly decide on your core market and what sorts of clients/budgets you want to target. Once that is clear go to a marketing company with experience in your own sector.

We use a marketing company all year around who does it all for us including the design of the material, send outs and chasing and it works well. We get a steady stream of new work and also remind old clients of our new courses and lectures.

We tried networking and very few other than the Sunday Times had any large organisations on board. Many SMEs market via networking so if this is your target group join a few and get known.

Most of our clients have 1500 employees or more so very little networking goes on in my experience of the group variety.
