Converting printed materials to on-screen format

default-16x9

Does anyone have experience of porting open learning paper-published materials into an online/on-screen format using Macromedia Authorware or similar software? At first sight this application seems more suited to simplistic, media rich material and multiple choice questions. Our need is to present materials which are heavily text orientated and activities which require considered, qualitiative responses from learners.
Is Authorware the right tool for this job or should we consider another option?

I don’t know Authorware, but I do work with a small consultancy that produces computer-based materials. We are beginning to do conversions of printed material. Please contact Firoze Manji at Fahamu, by email on http://www.fahamu.org. Please mention my name and he will understand how you came to contact him. Firoze may be able to help.
