Corel demonstrated their preview version of their planned WordPerfect Office 2002 application suite and stated that their upgrade operates much faster than their previous versions.

This suite includes WordPerfect 10 wordprocessor, Quattro Pro 10 spreadsheet, CorelCentral 10 personal information manager and Corel Presentation 10. As there is an increase in performance, this should go towards improving users productivity and improvements in compatibility between the applications and ability for collaboration.

This version now includes the Pocket Oxford Dictionary, which provides users with a quick way to access this reference guide. With a single mouse click users can gain access to 30,000 words and have further possibility of accessing an additional 70,000 words.

The suite is not expected for release until the first half of 2001, but it is expected to work with Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems and that there will be several different versions of the suite. Corel declined to provide further details about what these versions may be at this stage.
