Thomson NETg, has announced the winners of its second annual Illuminati Awards, which recognise the outstanding achievements of employee learning programmes within UK businesses.

The honours were delivered at Thomson NETg's annual Illuminati Awards ceremony, held at Sofitel, St James, London.

Winners of the 2004 U.K. Illuminati Awards were:
* Best Leadership Development Programme - GNER
* Best Internal Marketing Programme for Learning - LCH.Clearnet Ltd
* Most Innovative Learning Programme - Teletech
* Learning Leader of the Year – BT

The finalists were judged by a select committee across the four different categories on the merits of their organisation's ability to identify business needs, deploy a training programme that supports organisational objectives, and demonstrate measurable outcomes.

The select committee was chaired by Professor Steve Molyneux from The Learning Lab and David Pardo Director of IT Skills Research.

David Pardo said: "The winners of these awards should be very proud of their accomplishments. They were selected from an impressive and competitive field of applicants. I am pleased to see Thomson NETg recognising examples of best practice corporate learning in the UK."

The winners were presented with their prizes by Sally Gunnell, OBE, one of the UK's most popular sportswomen.
