I am looking for a 'prewritten questionniare' which would be suitable for a small business to fill in, to self assess their HR approach to practices and procedures, employment law, training and development and employment legislation.
Would anyone have one, or could tell me were to search for an example of this?

Try the IPD or ‘Better Business’
Helen: I’m guessing, but the Institute of Personnel & Development might be able to help (www.ipd.co.uk). Or the people at Better Business, which is aimed entirely at small businesses and ‘solos’ (www.better-business.co.uk)

Human Resource Tool Kit
As part of an ADAPT Round 2 project we have developed a HR development Tool Kit that incorporates company strategic planning with an employee survey and a TNA, we have it in two forms, CD-Rom and paper based. Our research evidence that precipitated design and development showed us that SMEs in particular, find it difficult to develop an integrated startegic approach to HR development and training that ties in with their vision, mission and operation. Our tool kit helps them to address the conundrum in a user friendly way.
