Course feedback questionnaires

default-16x9

I am running my first public course, at the end of the month. It is sometime since I ran a course for my last employer and I cannot remember what questions were on the questionnaire.

What information should I ask the delegates on the feedback questionnaire?

  1. main focus on learning
I am currently redesigning the way course feedback is given to the trainers here. the old favourites like pace, too fast or slow, content, enough depth or not, size of group, too large/small are good. I am also looking at more of a learning focus.

    Trainers responsiveness to your needs?
    Achievement of the course objectives?
    Achievement of personal objectives?
    Amount of participation?
    Amount of learning gained?

If you are interested in comparing notes, please e-mail me.

  2. Happy Sheets
In my experience these can be as complicated or as simple as you want to make them. You need to think about the purpose – What do you and the company want to get from the information? What is it reasonable to ask? Do you want information about the venue? learning points? trainer(s)’s effectiveness? pre-course briefing? I have several that I have collected over the years. If you want to to discuss this further, please e-mail me jenny.kevan@compair.com

  3. Applying learning
    Hi Jeff,

I like to encourage participants right from the start to be thinking about applying their learning when they return to work. So I hand out the evaluations at the start, and one of the most important questions on the sheet is
“How will the skills you have gained on this course help you most in your job?”

I’d be happy to send you a copy of our evaluation form if you’d like to see it.

  4. Course critiques
Am I being flippant here as everyone seems to assume and know what type of first public course Jeff is going to run at the end of the month? Perhaps Jeff can explain what kind of training are you going to run at the end of the month?

Management training or I.T. skills course or CPD or forklift driving training etc. etc.? The course critiques differ generally according to the type of training.

Jeff, if you can clarify the kind of training then I may be able to assist you.

  5. Business strategy
    Thanks Robert
The workshop will demonstrate a simple technique that helps Company directors understand the principles behind business strategy and assess the strategic direction they want their business to take.
The comments and responses have been useful but Ann didn’t leave an email address.

Thanks again for all the responses.
