Creativity & Innovation

default-16x9

I am currently undertaking an MSc at Bristol University on Management Development & Training.

For my dissertation I am looking at creativity & innovation in the workplace. I am interested in looking at how measuring innovation potential in individuals might be used to support broader strategic issues such as change management processes, by looking at the fit between individuals and the group and/or organisation's own culture of innovation. I hope to be able to produce a draft tool to help identify some of these issues, perhaps with application in recruitment/selection, strategic alignment etc.

I am looking initially for any references on work in this area, experiences of similar in organisation of various shapes & sizes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  1. Your request for help
    Martin,

I am looking into this area too for a practical reason of strarting a recruitment consultancy. We have investigated some areas and I will be happy to share our findings so far. One of my colleagues is Professor of Enterprise at Nottingham Business School and is supervising a doctoral student in Finland who has done a lot of work in this area by reviewing the literature. His emphasis is not quite the same as yours but is complimentary.

Would love to hear from you and help witht his research. I too am a stutdent at Bristol (part time) on the Doctor of Education Programme.

I can be contacted on [email protected]

    Get in touch.

To develop my own understanding of creativity and innovation and it’s practical application to business and society, I’ve put some resources together at the following site:
