Users are warned against the latest worm to hit computers. The worm can potentially take over a machine, delete or copy files and damage security programs.
Look out for an email with the subject line: “Thoughts….”. The body of the message reads “I found this program, and, I don’t know why…but it reminded me of you. Check it out.” The attachment is called Cute.exe.
The worm is reported to release a Trojan horse worm that will locate any security programs and attack them. If successful the worm will allow hackers to send e-mail, send instant messages form MSN and AOL and, access, move, copy and delete FTP files.
Network Associates’ McAfee and Symantec offer instructions on how to remove the worm.
