    You can cite a web site like this one (or see http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/summary_0199-5744008_ITM) in your assignment but you are right to get a book reference too in order to back up ideas of good practice. I am surprised your CTP provider has not provided such a resource (if they haven’t then do talk with your tutor and/or let the CIPD know).
    Anyway, you might try:
    ARNOLD, J. et al (2004) Work psychology :understanding human behaviour in the workplace (FT Prentice Hall)
    HBSP (2004) Results Drive: Dealing with Difficult People at Work
    (Harvard Business School Press)
    HARDINGHAM, A. (1998) Psychology for Trainers (CIPD) – now out of print but still available from libraries and good book sources like Amazon.
