Degree / Masters via distance learning

default-16x9

I am british and currently working and living in Holland. I am trying to find about any Distance degree or Msc courses on training. I already have details on Leicester and the Open University. If anyone has taken these or other distance courses please let me know.

  1. Masters degree in Training and Development
Hello, Steve. One of my friends is currently doing the Leicester Masters and enjoying it, although she’s finding it difficult to fit all the reading in and she says it’s expensive! I’ve been looking around for a Masters programme by distance learning and I’ve found a very interesting one run by Leeds Metropolitan University, entitled “Professional Training and Development”. It’s principally distance learning, with four one-week residential blocks during the programme – and it’s much cheaper than the Leicester one! Good luck with whatever you choose.

I signed up for the Leicester programme and dropped out! It does require a lot of reading – it is expensive – and you need a lot of time to do all the work etc. This is not to say it is not a good programme, although its value varies according to your experience in the field – just that distance learning is much harder then it appears, especially if you are a ‘people person’!
I would be glad to know what you find in the end as I too live and work in Holland and recently posted a similar request for an OD programme, with zilch response!
I believe there also used to be a good Trainers’ MSc course in Sheffield, but am not sure if it was completely distance learning.
