Develop the Model Sales Person

AmKon Training Services Ltd has developed "The AmKon Way".

"The AmKon Way" is a traffic light system that combines the use of Training, Coaching and Mentoring to develop the Model Sales Person. We passionately believe that developing skills is all about embedding learned skills and as The American Society of Training and Development said "Training with follow up coaching has demonstrated a fourfold increase in new skills adoption compared to training without follow up coaching".

We know that studies in psychology have shown that the human mind processes information in different ways and will delete, distort and generalise. The studies have also shown that there are four types of learning patterns in individuals although there are many learning methodologies. It is our role to determine employees' learning styles and personality type to ensure the benefit of our delivery.

For determining Setting the Standard of the Model Sales Person, setting the standard has been developed on the Traffic Light System.

The Green light indicates the Model Sales Person (of which there are three parts) who requires coaching for tweaking.

The Amber light indicates the person who requires improvement with training and coaching and the Red Light indicates the person where much work is needed.

Through this system we can identify Training and Coaching Needs, it is a powerful and flexible tool to use with all customer facing staff as through observation and self assessment of the sales person, line manager assessment of the individual and our own assessment of the person we can identify personal development plans. We grade sales staff a traffic light, agree a training and coaching programme, document improvement and review effectiveness, levels of pro-activeness and consistency.

Our new system is going live with a client shortly, and we are excited about the positive results it will bring as we know that it is the mix of training, coaching and mentoring that will make "The AmKon Way" a blinding success.
