I will shortly be aproaching the different departments within the business to ask them to consider their training/development needs for the next 12-18 months.
In order to ensure the face to face meeting is productive, I would like them to consider their needs i.e. knowledge, skills & attitudes beforehand.
Does anyone have a 'standard form' that they use that is effective in identifying any skills gaps (now & future?)

Training Needs Analysis Toolkit
Have a look at the Training Needs Analysis Toolkit available from this site. I think it will help, and contains just the sort of forms you seek (I think). If you’re not sure, give me a call and I can provide some more information on it – (I wrote it).
TNA Template
Hi
Take a look at http://www.trainerbase.co.uk and go to the downloads section. In the Tools and tests category there are a number of TNA forms and samples in there. You do need to be a member to download.

Have a look at this website ..
.. it may well have what you need along with a whole host of really useful technical training skills / information. I go back to it time and time again.
Good luck – Hilary

Purchasing a Training Suite
Having ventured out to running my own consultancy – I’ve decided now is time to purchase a suite of training workshops covering broad range of management development topics to complement the ones I’ve personally developed over the last 10 years. Can anyone recommend a good supplier?

Jackie – this isn’t meant to sound flippant! But if you agree there is no such thing as a ‘standard organisation’, there can surely be no ‘standard knowledge, slills or attitudes’?
We use competency mapping and asociated appraisals to identify ours, and our clients’ – and they are all different!
Good luck. Glad to help if I can.
