Development of Graduate Trainees

default-16x9

We are considering recruiting Graduates into our design and engineering division and I am in the process of producing a development programme. It has been suggested that as Training Officer I should take responsibility for these staff during their development programme (prob 12 - 18 months) with the support of the line managers in the various departments that they would be seconded to. Does anyone have any experience of such a strategy and comments that would help me to produce an effective solution.

    Janice,

I am Engineering Resource/Training Manager and I am responsible for 9 Graduates on our Graduate training scheme. I have responsibility for all aspects of the course and for ensuring their objectives are achieved (and I’m not even an engineer!). Happy to chat about my experiences but may be best if you give me a call?
