Could anyone out there point me in the direction of a good source of mentors for staff at Director/Senior Manager level. I am aware of various consultancies, but as always cost is the issue. I will need to be able to present a fairly cost effective option.

Director Mentoring
One specific area of our work is long-term mentoring with senior management and directors. Perhaps we can assist – as you comment, there would be a fee attached. Depending on your business size/age etc it may be worth contacting the Business Volunteer Mentoring Scheme through the Federation of Enterprise Agencies (your local enterprise agency or business link should be able to assist with local contact details). This is a foc service initiated through the SBS which could prove useful. We obviously think we are the best, but this way will save you money – check on the quality though, there is no accreditation in place for this scheme. Regards

My business like others provides a service in terms of mentoring scheme design, implementation and training of mentors. Without knowing much of your organisation, you may want to consider the source of the peer mentors being businesses with who you already engage/have relationships with. This would have the double advantage of having mentors who people know at first hand in terms of ability, and it would serve to strenthen existing relationship. I think this is potentially a very powerful model.
