The trainers have a good understanding of our in-house system and are required to pick-up 6 modules, which we feel, would take a total of 5 weeks to learn. There is a possibility that they may be able to visit the UK for a 2-week period. We are able to e-mail training material to them along with PowerPoint presentations and trainer notes.

Are these trainers going to deliver training in Germany or the UK, and in which language? If they are going to deliver training to either Germany or the UK , their audiences will have different expectations. You will need to take this into account in your expectations of your colleagues as well, to avoid cultural misunderstandings. Your strategy of sending all the training material to them would be enhanced if you could train them face to face, but if this is impossible, how about sending your advice on tape or cd??
