Does anyone know this Management Game?

default-16x9

I have had a request for information on a management training game to develop skills in seeing the 'big picture' . It is about keeping focused on the aim of an activity and not getting sidetracked by immediate crises. Apparently it involves crocodiles in a lake. Has anyone heard of it? If so where can I get hold of it?

I don’t know of any management training game about this, but I do remember when I was a RAF Officer, one of the posters on the wall of my office read:

“When you’re up to your backsides in aligators, it can be difficult to remember that your original objective was to drain the swamp!”.

  2. A book: called “Get Ahead; Give A Damn”
I have a copy of a book called: Get Ahead; Give A Damn.
The book is based around the quote “When you are up to your arse in alligators, it’s difficult to remember that the object of the exercise is to drain the swamp”
“Your work is swamp draining. The alligators are the obstacles to you doing your work effectively and achieving great success. The book contains a collection of practical ideas thoughts and suggestions from leading career and personal skills authors to help you over come the problem people and situations (alligators) in you life and find greater success and satisfaction at work”
Published by Prentice Hall Business, an imprint of Pearson Education and supported by Waterstones. http://www.business-minds.com/goto/givedamn. (I haven’t looked at the web site yet – it may give you details of a Management Game or at least you could email them and check)
    ISBN 0-273-66307-0 @£2.99.
All proceeds of the book go to “Off the Streets and into Work”.
    Hope this helps………
