e-Learning

default-16x9

Hi everyone,

I create bespoke e-learning using UPK and i'm sourcing potential new software solutions.

If there is anyone out there that creates/uses e-learning could you please advise what package you use and roughly how long it takes to create a new piece of e-learning (for IT software & processes).

Any information would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Sarah

  1. Adobe Captivate 5

Hi Sarah, I use Adobe Captivate 5. How long it takes depends on a number of factors such as any pre-work that has been story boarding the module and how much if any recording of demonstrations and activities needs to happen.

  2. e-Learning

    Hi Craig,

We have a vanilla suite of system training – getting started, navigation etc.  Then how to use the application on an end to end process.  This needs to be copied accross for 3 user groups – Workers, Client, Internal.  For each implementation we do this is a unique set of processes and configurations.

When we create this we can use the vanilla set as a template and build from there.  There is no pre-course work and the storyboard follows a placement running through our systems.  This will be from any of the 3 perspectives mentioned earlier.

At present the system we use, this will take us approximately 2 weeks, depending on how complex the system build is & whether we can reuse screens etc.

In your experience, how would you rate Captiva for use within this environment?

I know that i’m being really specific, ojur management see this training as ‘self-service’ and would like to continue this vein.  I have my doubts that this program isx the best one for us to use and would like to see what else is out there.  If wer can’t train face to face then we should be aiming for the best possible package for, which meansd the easiest & most time efficient to use.

Any help or opinions would be gratefully received.

    Thanks, Sarah.
