I am investigating introducing an e learning system for my Company.
We are a small Insurance company, (50 employees) that has an intranet.
FSA/moneylaundering training is a must have, however I would like a platform that covers H & S, Data Protection and Insurance subjects.
To be really choosy It would be great to have access to management and IT training modules and a big bonus if the modules were also available in Japanese.
A tall order, but you never know...

Hi Pat,
I have recently been working with a leading law firm and an insurance brokers in Manchester (of a similar size to yourselves) looking at the provision of FSA and other legislative requirements.
This work could provide a blueprint for what you are trying to do.
IT & Management training modules could also be added to suit your exact needs. As for Japanese, although the training units aren’t currently available in this language they could be translated.
There are a number of other organisations in the marketplace who have a similar package to your needs, but I have been told they focus on FTSE100 organisations and hence tend to be a bigger financial decision.

E-Learning Design

We have designed a unique e-learning programme on opportunity spotting and lead generation for insurance and banking personnel. It is working successfully and other modules, e.g. management/ IT/customer care can be added to it where necessary. We designed and produced this in-house as the costs of getting it produced externally were extremely prohibitive – we would never have secured the business otherwise. Also, we have a very close connection with a top quality translation company which may be of help to you. WE have used them for translations for Malaysia and Korea. Off The Shelf Options
Patricia, If you are set on elearning as the solution,I believe the two main off the shelf e learning materials in this area i.e. data protection , agency, FSA, insurance products etc. are the CII’s Ed and Tick which is populated by Searchlight Solutions. I don’t expect they are in Japanese, however! The contact at Searchlight is a Peter Farmer (mention my name). If you want a none e learning solution then Searchlight may be able to help or I can put you in touch with some excellent trainers with expertise in the areas you are looking for.
