East of England Wins £22.5m Training Pot

Training funding of £22.5m for more than 35 projects is up for tender in the East of England.

Organisations across the region can bid for a portion of the European Social Fund (ESF) Objective 3 regional funding, which aims to help the unemployed back to work, promote lifelong learning and develop the skills of employed people.

ESF is open to many different types of organisation, from professional training companies to charities, further education institutions and voluntary organisations.

East of England Development Agency deputy chair Sal Brinton, who leads the agency's work to improve skills, said: Our aim is to encourage as many organisations as possible to submit applications to deliver the projects so that people from all walks of life can benefit."

A regional prospectus providing guidance on how to apply for the funding will be available from the East of England Skills Forum website.
