Electronic Documentation

default-16x9

Hi
Can anybody recommend products for making documentation available electronically.

I know I can save Word as HTML, and I know about Adobe, but I am wondering if anybody has used any other products that they could recommend?

Thanks
Sarah

  1. Saving documents for on-line publication
Those are the standards; you could also use Microsoft Word or other WP application ensuring the document is saved appropriately, ie so that it cant be altered.

  2. Adobe the Best
    Sarah

I’ve checked out numerous of these over the last five or so years and I’m sure Adobe is the best.

You could try programs like Ebook Gold found here: http://www.EBookGold.com/index/dwave, but most of the html compilers I’ve seen require readers to have Internet Explorer installed, which not everyone has. Additionally, they create an Exe file which is rejected by email programs when transmitted in that format.

Go Adobe, it’s getting better every day.

  3. Or…
You could download a simple shareware PDF creator – if you want the adobe format without the cost.

Or.. you could wait for the next release of MS Office which (finally!) has support for PDF creation built in too.
