Employee Motivation – Seeking an exercise for inclusion in a workshop

default-16x9

I am delivering a session on leadership and motivation and am seeking a new group exercise which will demonstrate the principles of motivation without getting bogged down in theory, hygene factors e.t.c. The emphasis should be on enjoyment. Any suggestions appreciated.

  1. Ball game
Have you tried the Ball game?

    Equipment balls

You give delegates the instructions as follows:

all balls must be handled by each member

all balls must go through the centre

you as trainer must throw the balls in and they must come back to you.

Groups always end up in a circle.

You start with a few balls and then coach them to increase the number until they reach ten or so

After you can talk about what motivated the team to continue to achieve, the importance of team members, goal setting etc.

Each timer I’ve used it, it has been vert popular.
