Establishing Training Budget


Appreciate many factors need to be considered, but can anyone help me with a simple method of calculating a Staff Training/Development budget from scratch?

    Yes, it is a difficult one to answer in one paragraph or less so if you want to give me a ring on 01942 743882 I’d be happy to talk through my experience with you. Have had to do this on a number of occassions and eventually found a formula that worked – for me anyway !

    If you want something that the beancounters can cope with use a percentage of payroll. There are industry standards figures depending on your industry sector and the average qualification level of your staff. This gives you a headline and you prioritise down from there.
