Financial Support for External Training and Further Education Requests

default-16x9

I would be interested to find out what you all do in terms of funding for external training or further education?

Do you have guidelines, as to what will and what will not be funded?

Do learners have to complete a study support form or learner agreement?

Do you allow time off to attend courses, exams, for study etc? Are learners allowed to complete assignments in work time?

If someone leaves the organisation, do they have to pay the money back?

One Response

  1. Justification

We have always worked with the premise that there must be a justification for the initiative, i.e. it must help the business is some way if it is going to be funded. Learners must always sign a training agreement so that we can claw back some or all of the cost if they leave within a certain period (usually 2 years)

Time off is very much a ‘horses for courses’ scenario. It really depends for what and how much

    Hope that helps

    Sue
