Finding training contractors

default-16x9

Hi Y'all
I am sure some of you will have done this before; I would like to hear from you if you have.

We will soon need to find some extra training capacity to deliver a large national training project. What would be the best way to appoint providers around the country to deliver 10-20 days each?
The client is motor trade and the participants are retail motor sales.
Cheers
Nigel

  1. Training Providers
    Hi

There are lots of options including asking in this fora for specific titles

You can try the Training Manager’s handbook and Trainerbase. I am happy to make recommendations for various companies in specific areas we have had to use. I am sure the responses to this posting will generate lots of signposts for you

    Good luck

    Jennifer

  2. Training suppliers
    Nigel
You have probably already considered this but the Institute for the Motor Industry can advise on training suppliers. Details at http://www.motor.org.uk/

If you are after freelance trainers with specific expertise (eg management training, sales training) then advertise on web sites (or in magazines, if the budget allows). Selecting those that are good rather than just available, however, is a potentially time consuming task. If you can get recommendations about groups of associates then that might be your best bet. It would give you access to several trainers at once who are used to working with each other (and are happy with each others’ standards). You might start by asking here on this site for recommendations, but you will need to give more information about the requirement first.
    Best of luck
    Graham

  3. Additional Resource
    Nigel,

I would suggest either carrying out a specific search of trainers or posting a tender (both are free) on http://www.trainerbase.co.uk. If posting a tender give strict guidelines and as much information as possible as to your requirements, skills, experience, fees, etc.

  4. I might be able to help here
    Hi Nigel,

I know we are not supposed to market ourselves on this site – but I do have relevant experience in this industry and would be happy to point you at other providers too. [email protected]

  5. Try this forum -tenders
You could try the tenders area of this forum–it is a bit under utilised at present.
Notwithstanding that I have experience in the arena with Jaguar Ford and Vauxhall
