John Adamson, a Divisional Fire Officer from the Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Fire Brigade, has scooped a state-of-the-art Pioneer DVD player as a result of a draw at the Ascot Systems’ stand at the World Open Learning Conference and Exhibition (WOLCE) in October.

On leaving the Ascot Systems’ stand, John entered Ascot Systems’ prize draw to win a DVD player and – out of nearly 1,500 entries – John’s name came out of the hat first.

Ascot Systems’ Bob Eades commented: “We’re delighted to be able to make the DVD player available to John at the Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Fire Brigade. Hopefully, it will help him provide even more effective technology based training programmes to keep the fire fighters at the top of their profession.”
