Fun OutdoorTeam Building Game

default-16x9

We have just been informed that our Training centre is to be sold shortly and have no idea of what our future will be. As you can imagine, all the staff here are quite upset. We planned to have a Staff Fun day quite some time ago and we have all decided to go ahead with it.
The Admin staff have asked if we could come up with some fun outdoor activities.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone could come up with some ideas.

  1. what do you want to get out of it?
    Hi Paul
Sorry to hear the potentially bad news.

What do you want to get out of the activity? Is it pure fun or do you want it to have any other purpose?

You want to get those things sorted before you commit to any specific activity.

Also, if this is going to have a financial cost remember that folk facing the R45 may resent the spend if it is packaged as being “for their benefit”…they may think that they’d prefer to have the cash

Finally remember that “fun” is a very personal thing, especially when emotions may be running high…some people’s ideas of “fun” are other peoples idea of torture…viz Karaoke!

    Good luck
    Rus

  2. Team Building
    Paul,
Rus’s comments are very valid re: the objective of the day and how it may be perceived with the imminent closure. However, a fantsatic book I have been using for the last few months for outdoor Team Building games is:-
Team Building Through Physical Challenges by Donald R Glover/Daniel W Midura. ISBN 13:978-0-87322-359-1
The pictures are slightly out-dated, but the games and tasks are fantastic, all can easily be adapted and tinkered with.
    Good Luck Paul,
    regards Buffy
