A flipchart is basically a massive notepad on a stand. Often accompanied by a pack of multicoloured pens for denoting different list or graph elements, the flipchart was once an essential part of the freelance trainer's armory. In 2015 and beyond, not so much - the flipchart is becoming less important as interactive whiteboards, tablets and other technology takes off, and as training sessions move out of the classroom and online.
