Xebec-McGraw Hill have recently published a series of 24 online 'Management Mentor' resources covering such topics as Assessing Performance, Leading a Team, Negotiating, Coaching and Working with a Virtual Team.

The resources are meant to be 'immediately available' but we were disappointed at the absence of an obvious pay-per-view facility on the page which would enable users to use a credit card transaction to obtain immediate view-on-screen or download capability. Instead the user is referred to a contact address and phone number for McGraw Hill in the UK or USA. Several of the resources are meant to be available in online demonstration format, but all our attempts to load the demos resulted in failure.

It's also not easy to find these resources from the Xebec website, since all the pages are framed and display the same top-line URL. However, if you want to go there direct, rather than guessing your way through the scrollable menu options, the Harvard ManageMentor resources are at http://www.xebec-online.com/uk/hbsp/managementor/managementor.htm.

Postscript: In response to our comments, Xebec say users may find it easier to access the demonstration resources at http://www.xebec-online.com/uk/hbsp/harvardmm.htm and that the difficulty in access during the afternoon is due to "high US Internet usage".
