I recently felt the need to review my career, and decided to change direction completely, from being a gardener to a web designer, possibly freelance.Little did I know how difficult this would be.
I cannot give up my present job,learning from home or a part time course would be my only option, after looking into this and discovering that most employers are looking for Dreamweaver/flash/photoshop etc, I looked into different courses most offered a few days at a high price, I still feel that I would need to practice from home so then had the shock of finding out how much these software packages are.Then I came across the student licence deal, brilliant I thought but then came across the fact that you have to be a student to a properly recognized government qualification course, well I can't find one in this field, the only one which is recognized by the computer society is the CIW web design course at a price of £3000, but isn't recognized by the government, have you got any ideas on how I can study at home, with the software student license packages offered by Adobe and microsoft,I would be grateful for any help.
