I have a point of advice to offer and a request for assistance for all who have ever contacted me through this forum...the latter first; please could you drop me a simple email through [email protected] as I have lost all my addresses from my PC
Now the advice...
if you are a personal PC user be sure to find out how to back up all your mail and your address book. I didn't and my anti virus software has just caused a fatal problem to my desktop PC resulting in the loss of all this data. I've got all my documents backed up but I have lost everything from Outlook.

if it makes you feel better about your lot in life you might like to know that I'd never put my laptop on line but when the desktop PC had a problem with the anti virus I needed to get onto the suppliers website to download the patch...I put the laptop online for 10 minutes to get the download....in this 10 minutes it picked up 17 trojans! (and failed to get a patch!)
PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES.

Backing up outlook
Anyone needing to do this and operating Outlook 2000, 2002 or 2003 should look at the Outlook 2003 Add-in : Personal Folders Backup.
