HR Policy Training

default-16x9

Hi All,

We are in the process of redesigning our HR policies, and I will be responsible for designing & delivering the training around this.

Has anyone had experience with this previously? As the topic could be seen as a little dry how would you suggest making it engaging and resonate with managers?

Many Thanks

Shiv

  1. here’s an idea

I have recently been involved in a similar project.

I designed a "pub quiz" where the delegates worked in table teams to answer questions that related to the new policies.

Then they had a series of "case studies" that they had to find answers to; this practiced both their generic management knowledge and got them to look at the policies and what guidance they gave

I designed a similar course around Knowledge Management.

We had six "Characters" who were a representation of people in the organisation (using avatars) Each had a CV and a unique story

Each character was then taken through KM process in a way that was unique to them but consistent with the KM policy.

This could easily be adapted to an HR policy workshop. The secret of success is creating engaging characters with interesting stories and a "tapestry" type wall display to show each characters journey through the system.
