I expected Human Resources magazine to be much the same as other HR related magazines, but I did like the way they laid out the reading matter, with one exception. The interesting stuff was indeed interesting stuff covering gadjets, legal matters, companies to know about etc. All short enough to read while waiting for something to print or re-booting you computer.

There was the usual letters page with a good range of topics to chose from - the articles were very interesting and well written and included topics such as Headhunters, The survival of Harland and Wolf, Stock Options and an extremely interesting article by Morice Mendoza about healthcare which was quite thought provoking. After wading through the usual adverts and Situations Vacant there was another good article called Fast Coach by Jenny Rogers which I nearly missed because it was right at the back of the magazine.

On the final page is Career Ladder which shows people who have recently been promoted or changed jobs. One criticism I would make is the point I mentioned before that the article and Career Ladder should come before the adverts. As I know many people are like myself and don't expect any more articles etc after the adverts and job descriptions.
