1. the ‘new’ intelligence – SQ, or spiritual intelligence
   SQ (spiritual intelligence) is the next stage in the broadening of our very limited concept of intelligence. Traditional ideas about intelligence (what it is and how to measure it – our IQs)have recently and usefully been challenged by the notion of EQ – emotional intelligence. Now, moving into the work arena, comes SQ: the notion that your work – what you do and how you do it – is connected to and affected by ideas and beliefs you may (or may not) have about spirituality ie the belief there is something ‘more’ than merely day-to-day activity and material acquisitiveness. I have a particular interest in this, and ‘teach’ it within all the work I do (training and development in organisations, and also one-to-one work). Useful book on it by Diane Zohar, recently published in paperback. I’d like to hear from others interested in SQ. daphne@journeytothecentre.org
