Im just starting out…Creating a great tender for Consulting and coaching?

Hi All,

I'm new to trainingzone and new to the world of consulting, having been a trainer, facilitator and Learning and Development Manager for a inhouse business for over 16 years.

Having made the leap outside over the last few months... and now I've had a couple of excellent meetings with two companies that have expressed that they want to work with me on Culture and development... but I've never had to create an tender for a client.

Has anyone an idea where I can get a template that would guide me that would be appropriate?

Tender or proposal?

Is this actually a tender where you will be up against other organisations or is it a proposal?

This one seems as though I’m not necessarily against anyone else… but can’t be certain, butall the signs seem right.

Getting the information right, and especially the mosty appropriate layout is challenging.

What to include

Hi Steve

Listed below is a suggested format
- Heading page (MS Word has loads of templates that you could use)
- A brief piece about your organisation (your choice as to whether to put it here or at the end)
- Outline confirming what you discussed with them (showing you have listened and understood their requirements)
- Outline of what you’ll do and the reasoning behind it – include timings, over what period, objectives/outcomes
- Benefits to the organisation
- Costs (include development costs, delivery costs and any expenses e.g. travel and subsistence)
- T&Cs
- Contact details
