  1. Immersion Training is…

Immersion Training simply means training where you are engaged in whatever you’re learning instead of simply sitting in a classroom learning about the subject at second or third hand.

    Simple example:

Training in the French language: Live and work in, say, England – read books, go to weekly practise group, listen to tapes, CDs, etc. The rest of the time speak English, read English-language books, newspapers, etc, watch BBC TV.

Immersion Training: Learn French by going to live in France. Work with French-speaking people, read French books, magazines, etc., watch French TV.

Obviously there are “levels” of Immersion Training – the weekly French language practice group isn’t “full” immersion, but it’s further down that route than just listening to a French language vocabulary tape.

As far as Immersion Training and IT is concerned, I suggest you access a search engine such as Google and use the key words/phrases “immersion training”, IT and UK (the last only if the courses need to be in the UK, of course!).

You don’t give any indication of what aspects of IT the training should relate to, but here are a couple of starters for 10:
