Improving workshops

default-16x9

I am looking for a book which has descriptions of tasks and activities that engage delegates to help improve the learning outcomes. I feel the need to refresh a suite of our successful workshops and feel a few new tasks will help. I would intend to apply them to the subjects we deal with. Any recommendations of books or practical tasks that get people engaged?

  1. Questions for you

    Hi Philip

Before anyone can answer this I think you need to provide more info…

I am looking for a book which has descriptions of tasks and activities that engage delegates to help improve the learning outcomes.

What are the learning outcomes and what are you currently doing to make the learners disengaged?

I feel the need to refresh a suite of our successful workshops and feel a few new tasks will help.

If they are successful whay are you changing them? Which bits work and which bits don’t?

I would intend to apply them to the subjects we deal with.

    What are the subjects?

Any recommendations of books or practical tasks that get people engaged?

Engaging people is a big subject and doesn’t necessarily mean one thing…the biggest question for you is what are you doing now that is not engaging?

  2. Web Sites?

Hello Philip, welcome to TrainingZone – If I have understood your request properly you’re looking for those books which contain ideas, exercises and activities which you can potentially integrate or enhance your existing programmes. I’ve got several and I have to say they are not all that brilliant, you’re essentially (in my experience) paying for only one or two good ideas and the rest I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole. Can I suggest taking a look through the following web sites at some of the free material that is available? You might find something that could be useful you might not, but this would be the starting point for me rather than books.

I have some other links to web sites that I will have to dig out and if I find them I will post these up as well.
