Hi all
I organise a course for potential new childminders for a Local Authority. I'd like to have the course accredited if possible. Its made up of about 10 sessions. I'm not sure how/where to satart this process so any advice would be gratefully received.

we currently work with AIM Awards in the north, an Ofqual approved organisation. We have just begun a process of accreditation with them. I'd be more than happy to give you there details or have a chat about what we've done.

CACHE is the awarding organisation which specialises in working with early years and childcare and they have a range of qualifications from Entry level to Level 5. One approach would be to look at the qualification specs and see if your course maps to them. then you would need to consider whether you seek to be an assessment centre for them or work with one of their existing assessment centres to acquire that accreditation for your learners. I am not sure how you are funding the training course and there are implications if you want to try and access state funding.
