In Search of High-Quality Training Venue in London!

default-16x9

Does any one know of a good, high-quality training venue in London that does not cost £-Silly?

The venue needs to be:

a) Reasonably central and high-quality.

b) Be able to comfortably handle courses for between 8 and 15 delegates.

c) Provide tea and coffee facilities at breaks, with lunch (either restaurant or buffet).

d) Have all relevant IT and room support support (projector, computer, flip chart, pens) etc.

We're also looking for this venue to serve as the advertised location for a number of courses, so would be looking for some kind of negotiated rate around volume of usage ideally.  Any ideas anyone?  Have some people quoting silly money for this.  Surely a high-quality venue at reasonable cost can't be that hard to find??

Many thanks.

Best regards,

Dave

  1. Have you tried the De Vere venues?

    Dave

I don’t know if you have tried this provider, I always found them very reasonably priced AND, being conference venues rather than hotels, they are really clued up for commercial use.

    Hi Dave

Agree with Russ that De Vere are very good, we use the Greenwich one and its really nice.

Etc Venue at Tower Bridge is also excellent and my favourite…

Apex is also very nice and has free jelly babies!

You will be hard pushed to find a quality venue for less than £70 per person per day (inc lunch) so if you are on a budget I would use Universities or somewhere like The Barbican who can offer rooms from £45 to £60 pp per day range.

    Good luck

  4. Training venue

    Hi Dave,

You might want to try London Chamber of Commerce and Industry at 33 Queen St. I know they have such facilities and they’re near to Bank and Cannon Street.

    Best,

    Steph

  5. Venue

    I agree with John,

I’ve used both the King’s Cross and Covent Garden venues. (The range of refreshments and snacks is amazing 😉  )

I didn’t deal with the venue in Covent Garden, but the admin ladies at King’s Cross were really accomodating.

    Good luck,

    Pilar

  6. Venue near King’s Cross

    Hi Dave,

We’re a charity based in Islington with a training/conference suite which we can hire out.  We are about 5 min walk from King’s Cross station so very central.  The venue itself is fairly new (we moved here in Dec 2009) and it’s really nice and modern.

The room hire rate starts at £80/day for charity/voluntary sector organisations, £120 for private and statutory sector (this is the full cost, not per delegate).   All your other requirements can be met, but refreshments and IT are an additional cost.  I don’t deal with the room hire agreements myself but I am sure there is room to negotiate on bulk bookings.

If you want further info drop me a line with dates that you require – janine.edwards@vai.org.uk or phone 020 7832 5810.

    Best wishes,

    Janine
