Influencing and Negotiation skills

I am currently designing a workshop for one of our clients and really need some information on influencing and negotiation skills. Does anybody know any sites on the web which might be useful or have any information they could share? Greatly appreciated

  1. Getting What You Want
    I don’t know of a website, but a favourite book is “How To Swim with the Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive” by Harvey Mackay. Two things I’ve noticed about good negotiators, though are they say “no” and mean it; and they use silence to their advantage. Most people will rush to fill the silence but not a good negotiator. They state their terms or make their offer, and then go quiet. Fascinating . . .

    this isn’t an offer of a website with info but another something. I used to work with a guy who ran a brilliant exercise based workshop in influencing and negotiating…the results were incredible from the point of view of the client company.
