2. Innovation Development

3. Using Metaplan for innovation
   At Ambit we use Metaplan – equipment which encourages contributions and releases energy. It overcomes the many problems associated with creativity in work groups – fighting for airtime, brilliant introverts, what to do with unwanted ideas, handling the loudmouth. In addition to the actual equipment, we have developed numerous structures that can be used depending on the requirement of the group.    Jon – I’ve written a piece about systemic or built-in creativity called “Why creativity courses can’t work”. If you would like a draft copy let me know your email and I’ll send it on. Innovation – a useful definition is ‘profitable change’ – is limited by much the same blocks. Is your organisation monitoring sustaining or distruptive innovation, or both?
