Institute of Continuing Professional Development launches

default-16x9

This new Institute is being formally launched on 1 July 1998 as a multi-disciplinary forum to reinforce and promote the critical importance of lifelong learning across all facets of professional life.

Its purpose is to raise the effectiveness of professionals and professional organisations by the establishment of a set of standards relating to Continuous Professional Development; by the dissemination of best practice and the overall promotion of the benefits of lifelong learning. Its intention is to provide forums for the exchange of state of the art knowledge and expertise and the promotion of all aspects of professional learning.

The ICPD intends to be a learned society, a guardian of standards, a force for change, and a promoter of best practice.

Until the end of June, the Institute is approaching Founding Members for support.

A brochure with further information is available from Sue Hall, at the membership office, ICPD, 38 Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0EB. Tel: 0171-730-7677.
