Business communications firm Inter-Tel has received recognition for its dedication to training and development by winning the award for ‘Best Training Operation’ at the Comms Channel Awards 2005.
Inter-Tel’s training school, the Inter-Tel Academy, was established to address the growing need for specific telecoms training both for technicians and users. Set up in 2001, the Academy has grown to become one of the best training operations of its kind, where students can access theory and hands on learning, supported by experienced and specially trained tutors.
Stuart Clarke, manager of the Academy, who collected his award on 12th April at the NEC, said: "We are delighted to have won this award and that the Inter-Tel Academy’s efforts have been recognised at such a prestigious national awards ceremony. The award panel singled out Inter-Tel for its commitment to deliver impeccable training to its business partners who use the facility several times a year."
Chris Harris, managing director of Inter-Tel, paid tribute to the academy staff. "This award is testament to the hard work of Stuart and his team," he said. "We are extremely pleased that the team was recognised for its consistent delivery of tailor-made and industry leading training."
The awards, run by Comms Business Magazine, recognise achievements within the telecommunications industry.
