Latest virus alert - this one is serious!
A new and potentially devastating virus advertising itself as an
e-mailed photo of someone's wife has started infecting computers
in Europe and the United States. Some believe it started
spreading from the U.S. military.

UK Online centres launched
The government has launched a series of new centres giving public
access to computers and the internet around the country.

Employed or self-employed? That is the question
Changing working patterns affect the way workers are classified,
and the differences in the way employed and self-employed workers
are taxed suggests an inequality may exist between the two, says
the Institute for Fiscal Studies in a new report looking at the
problems of homeworkers, casual workers, agency workers and
personal service companies.

Small business website closes
The Guardian and Scottish website New Economy Scotland both
report that Work24, the joint Internet venture launched by
Scottish Power and the Royal Bank of Scotland towards the end of
last year has closed.
