Can anyone supply me with some job description templates. I have just joined a company who have been using the same template since the year dot and need some guidance!

    As ‘importing’ job descriptions as templates can be highly risky (if only because they may easily support actions in violation of the fair discrimination legislation), may I encourage you to use/acquire techniques of analysis of tasks and of jobs. ‘Task Analysis’ by B Kirwan & L Ainsworth, Taylor & Francis, 1991 is a v.good overview

  2. Job Descriptions vs Job Profiles
    We are use job profiles which is connect to a performance management system and reviewed on a quarterly basis whichimpacts on the cost of living increases.
    Job descriptions is more a task analysis of what the employee must do and at times does not show how the employee should be measure against these tasks.
    I will be happy to forward susch a template to you and an example.
