KnowledgePool take over Maxim Training

KnowledgePool, the e-Learning, IT and business skills training company, has bought Maxim Training, developers of customised CD-ROM and online multimedia training in personal and management skills for the corporate market. Maxim, whose customers include BT, British Airways, LandRover, Motorola and Lloyds Bank, have recently branched into e-learning.

KnowledgePool offer a range of learning solutions from multi-site training programmes for multi-national companies to distance learning for individuals, and recently launched 45 new technical e-Learning courses including training on Cisco, Novell, Java, Netscape, Lotus and Network+.

KnowledgePool currently has 450 employees based in the UK, Ireland, France, Finland and Portugal and a joint venture company with Fujitsu in the USA - KnowledgePool Inc. Maxim Training has over 50 staff based in Brighton.

KnowledgePool's clients include organisations from the retail, financial services, pharmaceutical, chemical and technology industries together with government departments, and it has strategic relationships with partners such as Microsoft, NETg and the British Computer Society

Earlier this month KnowledgePool acquired USA-based WorkLife Solutions Inc, who operate career management and HR development websites. It means that KnowledgePool can now offer IT business applications, personal and management skills development and training and HR services.
