knowledge=power course against money laundering

default-16x9

There is a flurry of e-learning activity around the financial services changes coming towards the end of this year. knowledge=power, the e-learning solutions provider, has produced an anti-Money Laundering training package to help financial services companies comply with the new FSA regulations that come into force on 1 December 2001.

The company has teamed up with financial training experts Thinking about Crime, to produce a flexible, modular course to train employees on the law, and policies and procedures to combat money laundering.

Susan Grossey, partner at Thinking about Crime, said: “Recent events have demonstrated how vital it is for financial institutions to know the origins of the funds they handle. Institutions must take responsibility for protecting their staff and their clients from money laundering, and one crucial aspect of this is to provide topical, accurate and stimulating anti-money laundering training.”

The course is available for distribution via CD-ROM or the Internet. There are three core modules and a range of optional modules, covering the legal issues, when to be suspicious and reporting requirements and procedures, amongst others.
