Click2learn.com have released their ToolBook II Instructor version 8 which is stated as a major upgrade to this e-learning development toolset.
The upgrade enables registered ToolBook users to instantly deliver and manage public or private e-learning courses over click2learn's e-learning network, so that they now have access to an integrated and streamlined learning management platform.
This version will also allow developers to create courses that can translate across different e-learning platforms and will comply with most major learning standards, including AICC, IMS, Microsoft's LRN and the SCORM standard.
Other enhancements include a new suite of interactive e-learning features and tools that will automatically export course scores, student information and data to corporate databases such as SQL Server or Oracle. It will also develop software simulations and interactive question and answer sessions.
Developers will also be able to publish custom courses created in ToolBook and place them in a personalised website on click2learn's e-learning network. This then allows enrolment of up to 100 students , assign courses, track usage, produce test scores and create summary reports on assessments and learner progress.
